Dashing through the NO

I'm sure many of you have seen this picture, but I thought I would share it with the world as it makes me laugh every time I see it:
Bah Humbug!
I'm not much of a cat person, but a family member in the mighty USA is and posted this on her facebook, and i loved it. I don't believe in getting way to excited for Christmas, until half-way through December. Again, bah humbug.

We had snow recently but it's has all gone now, which I'm glad about as it just causes so many disruptions and it became really icy (sound like a middle-aged woman). Though I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, and i hope you get whatever you wish for this Christmas.

mmm...

Hiya guys,

Today I want to tell you about a little something i love to do in my spare time, baking!
A lot of blogs are brought to us by baking people, and are great inspiration. I am not as fabulous are these people but i do try! This year, i did my bronze Duke of Edinburgh and as my skill I did baking. My neighbour is part of the WI (women's institute) and is qualified to judge baking so she was my assessor. The following pictures are of my creations:
Spinach and Feta Filo pie
Cherry and Coconut Loaf

Foccacia

Lemon Butterfly Cupcakes
Candied Orange Cupcakes

Jubilee Cake

And do you know what the best part about baking is seeing people smile (hopefully!) when they eat your baking, then you know it's a real success! Remember after laughter is the best possible medicine, and a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.

Comment below with your favourite eats and hopefully i haven't made you too hungry reading this. But if so, treat yourself. I made Mary Berry's Marmalade traybake this week. Yum yum!

Result!

After my post 'My Little Slice of Hell' you will have thought my geography results would be horrendous. Well you, my friend, were wrong. Drum roll please...... 100% in KU (knowledge and understanding) and 92% in ES (enquiry skills). That means two 1s, and the possibility of the geography prize, YAY!!!

To continue on with the geek theme I went to a meeting today at lunchtime about a chemistry quiz. I would like to give a little background on this, as last year I took part in it, and we (representatives of Peebles High School) came third out of sixteen schools *cue awed woo*. I competed alongside a friend and fellow geek, who loves general knowledge and spends much of his time reading chemistry and biology books. Now, I'm not that nerdy, i do have a social life (whatever you might think otherwise) but i did better than him! So therefore, this time i would like to be the single 4th year representative. I say make the impossible, possible!

Have a chemistry AND a drama exam tomorrow, and french on Thursday, which I'm dreading!

Next blog, i want to tell you about of another of my passions, which isn't too geeky, so please return and subscribe.

My Little Slice of Hell

Geography prelim. Those two words explain it all.

Three and a half hours, sitting in a freezing cold hall with a boy next to me that must have flatulence problems. Fabulous.

To move on, i would like to tell you my little story i promised in my last blog. My Mother is devoted to the birds who visit our garden regularly and imagine her delight (and i suppose mine) when two loved-up blackbirds decided to create a nest, on our bathroom window ledge, right outside our front door! Cue Bonnie, Boris, Beatrice and Bobby, the children of Maurice and Maureen.

Maureen Sitting On The Four Eggs

When They Were First Born
And all together now... aaaawww! Sadly now, all six have flown and not returned but we now have Dick, Fanny and Christopher (robin), and yes those names were my idea! When me or another member of my family sit at the computer next to the window, the blackbirds fly up and demand currants. My soppy mother always give in, they must eat their body weight in currants! They now come within half a metre of us, if you drop the currants at your feet, which i have to admit is pretty cool.

Revision tomorrow, then English, Physics and Maths consecutively. Then two dance shows on Saturday. Busy busy busy, what a life!

Nervous Wreck

Today has been crammed full with geography revision with a little physics just to spice things up a little. Notes, past papers and some sneaking onto facebook while dragon-mother isn't breathing down my neck. My brain is about to explode from all the little voices screaming; "Population Density", "Voluntary Aid" and V-Shaped valleys" AAARRRGGGHHH! I think i need professional help...

If you are reading this post it must mean you enjoyed my first blog, which i thank you whole-heartily for. I'm definitely a newbie to this alien world called blogging, but i hope i can fill out whatever forms you throw at me and i can join your little cult, please!

I should be very careful for what i wish for, because when i asked for a break from revision, i was dragged out onto the golf course with my dad, who is always grumpy when he hits a bad shot and today was no exception. The language! On our way round i took a picture of a beautiful bird on my phone, but found a better one on google:

It's a waxwing, but there were 8 on the tree when we saw them, beautiful.

I have a fantastic story to tell next time about my crazy mother and her beloved birds that she is completely devoted to, so please do return!

Love you lots like jellytots,

Edna xxx

p.s I don't know how to follow other people's blogs or how other people can follow my blogs, please comment below and let me know, thanks.

Hello World!

STOP. Momentous occasion has landed. First blog!!! *trumpet tootles*

I have deliberated and repeatedly changed this first post, but what i came to conclude was that i should just give it a go. I know very little amounts of people will read this first post in the next few weeks, but hopefully people will come back and read these words in the future. Hello to future people, thank you for reading my blog!

I'd like to introduce myself as Eleanor, but many of my friends know me as Edna (named after Edna Mode, the tiny bossy one from 'The Incredbles'). I am currently studying for my Standard grades (Scottish equivalent of GCSEs) and my, it is stressful! To get away from my stress, i like to do one of three things;

Dance

Walk In My Local Area

Have Fun With My Best Friends

These are my three things in life i could not live without, and i feel very privileged to have time to do all three. More posts to come people!

Love you lots like jellytots,
